Review: BOOGIE5/20/2022 BOOGIE - Screenplay analysis: On-the-nose dialogue, a few illogical plot points to reach the goal, and a not so tidy resolution, but I enjoyed learning about the Chinese-American experience and Taylour Paige was surprisingly charming. That same on-the-nose dialogue was cute banter at times between the protagonist Alfred/Boogie and his love interest Eleanor, especially during their sex scene. Though, their eventual fallout (because that's what happens in movies with a love storyline) felt forced into a movie moment when Eleanor disrupts the beginning of a basketball game with her grievances. Where do they do that at? Not my high school. 🤣 ... Have you seen it? I watched it on my #SouthwestAirlines flight. Check it out on #HBO and let me know your thoughts. ... RIP Pop Smoke.
