What is the application process?
In order to join the Mentorship Program, screenwriters must apply. The application process is to assess your level of screenwriting, your time commitment, and to see if we're a good fit to go on this writing journey together. This program is best suited for Emerging to Established screenwriters who are prepared to write on deadline and have an open schedule to consistently write and work 1:1 with your Story Expert so you can reach your writing goals
The application includes submitting a previously written screenplay. THIS IS NOT A DEEP DIVE into your screenplay. For Development Notes, please submit your screenplay here.
If you are accepted into the program, the application fee will go towards your Mentorship Program Fee. Pen Pals are accepted into the program on a case-by-case basis and at the availability of our Story Experts.

What happens if I'm not accepted into the program?
You may not be accepted into the program for many reasons, including being a Newbie screenwriter, lack of time, lack of Story Expert availability, and more. Those who are not accepted will be given personalized next steps to continue on their writing journey with TPP.
Can I work on a rewrite in the program?
The Mentorship Program guides screenwriters through a proven writing process from idea to pitch to help them reproduce multiple screenplays/year. Because of this, screenwriter should join the program with a fresh idea. If you are interested in revising or rewriting your screenplay, we offer packages to those who submit for Development Notes.
What happens if I miss a scheduled meeting?
Clear communication is key. It's our motto to ask for permission, not forgiveness. Communicate with your Story Expert about scheduling conflicts to see if there is an opportunity to reschedule. We will accommodate where we can, but there may not always be wiggle room. It's at your Story Expert's discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
Can I schedule additional meetings with my Story Expert?
There are a fixed amount of scheduled meetings with your Story Expert in the program. However, you can always schedule additional meetings at the hourly rate. Your Story Expert will give you a link to access their schedule at your discretion.
