We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to bring our content strategy to life across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. You’ll manage everything from captions to posting, and also create original weekly content that speaks to our two core audiences:
- Aspiring screenwriters who are overwhelmed and need real tools.
- Filmmakers and storytellers who care about craft and community.
Key Responsibilities: You won’t be editing our core videos (we already have a video editor), but you will:
- Write and schedule daily to weekly content across IG, YT, and TT
- Create 2–3 original pieces of content weekly (memes, trending clips, BTS, etc.)
- Use edited video content to create platform-specific captions and post copy
- Ensure all images and clips are high-resolution, brand-consistent, and accessible (with captions/text overlays)
- Review and report analytics monthly with recommendations for strategy shifts
- Follow content calendar deadlines and approval workflows
- Stay on top of trends in screenwriting, filmmaking, and social media culture to keep us current and relevant
Ideal Candidate Has:
- Experience in film/TV, specifically screenwriting, is a big plus
- Proven experience managing multi-platform content for a creative brand (IG, TT, YT)
- Copywriting skills with the ability to write in an authentic, casual, confident tone
- Strong aesthetic taste and attention to visual quality
- Light video editing skills (for reels or TikTok)
- Understanding of audience segmentation and engagement strategies
- Reliable communication habits and respect for deadlines
Details:
- Deadline: July 11, 2025 at 5p PT
- Contract role; estimated 5-10 hrs/week to start
- Set monthly fee or hourly rate based on experience
- Must be available for weekly check-ins and content approvals
- Potential to grow into a larger role with more hours and responsibility
